At LOQI we want to raise awareness for things that matter. Making the world a more sustainable place by reducing the use of plastic bags is at the core of our work. Together with our partners we actively contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Find out how we turn words into actions.

Our Contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals

We support purposeful projects worldwide by donating LOQI bags to our charity partners like “Save the Children”, “Laughing Hearts”, “Cancer Research UK”, “German Red Cross”, “Terre des Femmes”, “World Wildlife Fund”, “Pink Ribbon Foundation”, “Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk” who work on improving the lives of socially disadvantaged children and people in need.

LOQI is made in China, the Land of the Red Dragon. It is a family factory with 150 workers. Our factory has 30% shares in our LOQI brand and this is how we ensure our quality. Good quality also means that production meets high ethical standards. The factory has received accreditation from third-party BSCI, a leading supply chain management system controlling all our workers benefits from fair health, fair pay, safety, work hours and legal rights. LOQI makes products that both the environment and people love. We love our factory. And our factory loves us. It’s a match made in heaven. We are commited to producing sustainable products without harmful substances. This is why we can proudly say LOQI is an OEKO-TEX®certified product.

LOQI is an employer that values and promotes equal opportunities for all genders. We are pleased about all applications independent of sex.

We work with a list of female artists such as Icelandic artist Kristjana S Williams, French illustrator and graphic designer Céleste Wallaert, Berlin-based illustrator Martina Flor, specialized in lettering, and illustrator, painter and visual artist Ruohan Wang.

We make sure all our products are printed using waterless printing. This printing process eliminates the water or dampening system used in conventional printing.

With the GreenCircletechnology used to make the fibers for LOQI bags, polyester fibers are recycled into high-quality fabric, tapping into resources and reducing environmental pollution.

We are working on reducing the carbon emissions of our overall processes from our office location to production. Furthermore, we research innovative materials which we can use to make even more sustainable LOQI bags in the future.

From the Louvre to the TATE, the Guggenheim to the Getty. From Murakami to Malevich. We have 300 of the world’s finest artworks from the world’s finest museums on our bags.

We want our bags to appeal to people from the most different ends of the spectrum. You can find a LOQI just about anywhere on this tiny planet. We make art accessibleto everyone in the world.

Our long-lasting LOQI bags help to reduce the ecological footprint. They are a sustainable alternative to single-use bags which are causing an immense amount of waste as they are thrown away immediately after being used.Made of GreenCircle regenerated polyester fibres LOQI bags help to reduce textile waste.

At the LOQI factory there is no dye waste product from printing. We recycle the leftover colors and mix them to create black for monochromatic designs. No bleaches are used either. Our eco-friendly dyes have been STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® tested. Doesn’t this sound good?

Together with our partners we are constantly working on integrating measures to combat climate change and its impacts. We undertake steps to reduce the CO2 emissions of our supply chain by collaborating with logistics partners who offer solutions for carbon neutrality and invest in environmental projects. These projects help improve livelihoods and preserve biodiversity.

Around the world, one million plastic drinking bottles are purchased every minute, while up to 5 trillion single-use plastic bags are used worldwide every year. Using a long-lasting LOQI bag helps avoid plastic bags and keep the oceans clean. Instead of RPET material which is made from plastic bottles and cannot be recycled, we use Green Circle material which can be recycled over and over again.

Here comes our favorite part! We make sure all our products are printed using waterless printing.

You can unbox your treasured LOQI knowing for sure that the paper cartons and FSC®Certified Packaging are 100% recycled. The FSC Recycled label was introduced in order to recognize the important role that recycling paper and timber plays in protecting the world's forests.

Proceeds from the sale of every LOQI x National Geographic product support scientists, explorers and researchers worldwide. LOQI wants to give a voice to endangered species all over the world. If you are looking to take action to protect animals and the environment, a sustainably produced reusable bag is a step in the right direction.
